Next gen. moth-eye-inspired coating film
g.moth™
Water-repellent and eliminates glare like never before. The next generation of anti-reflection film.
Overview
Attach the next-generation film with moth-eye structure to any transparent material, such as glass, to make it appear completely transparent. Our next-generation film with moth-eye structure, g.moth™, is highly water-repellent, and solves the problem with conventional moth-eye films which lacked durability.
- Point1Super anti-reflective and super transparent, like there is no glass there at all
- Point2Super water-repellent, instantly repelling water droplets on contact
- Point3Prevents glare over a wide range of viewing angles
- Point44.9N Gauze Slide Testing Method cleared 20,000 times, demonstrating improved durability
- Point5Size: Up to a maximum of (W) 600 mm
Before & After
We prepared a video comparing a product that utilizes g.moth™ with one that does not. Experience the amazing performance for yourself.

Features & Strengths
Point1 Super anti-reflective and super transparent, like there is no glass there at all
Reflectance is minimized to approximately 0.5% when g.moth™ is applied to both surfaces of glass. The film keeps light reflection and glare to a bare minimum. (The reflectance of standard glass is held to a low of approximately 4%.
*Does not include loss from scattering

Point2 Super water-repellent, instantly repelling water droplets on contact
Nano-sized micro-projections (moth-eye structure) on the g.moth™ surface attain super water-repellence with a contact angle of 156.0° that keeps water droplets in the shape of a sphere. Achieves the same level of water repellence seen on the surface of a lotus leaf.
Point3 Prevents glare over a wide range of viewing angles
Reflectance is less than 1%, even when viewed at angles near 50°, achieving transparency over a wide range of viewing angles.

Point4 4.9N Gauze Slide Testing Method cleared 20,000 times, demonstrating improved durability
Our next-generation film with moth-eye structure, called g.moth™, increases surface transparency and anti-smudge characteristics compared to conventional products, allowing you to wipe treated surfaces clean with a dry cloth.

Point5 Size: Up to a maximum of (W) 600 mm
g.moth™ can be produced in film rolls up to a maximum size of 600 mm (W). Can be applied to TV screens up to 45 inches in diagonal size, for example. Ask about having the film custom cut to your particular requirements. We handle large and small sizes.
Structures & Mechanisms
The nano-sized, highly sensitive moth-eye structure is transferred to film rolls with one of a kind techniques
g.moth™ adopts a moth-eye structure using biomimetics to mimic the superior structure of a moth's compound eye. The roll-to-roll manufacturing technique for mass production of fine, nano-sized moth-eye structures on film utilizes our unique transfer plates that were jointly developed with Tokyo University of Science.
